Memories from the September European Conference

The European Conference was fantastic as participants from around the world gathered together in Roman, Romania.

Events included traveling to the beautiful countryside where participants engaged in numerous intercultural activities, including learning how to make Martinitisa, a special Romanian gift made of colored wool for the first of May, and how to paint eggs – an Easter tradition in Romania. Other events consisted of dancing and singing in traditional Romanian outfits by a group of chapter members as well as painting and decorating around 50 bags with gifts for disadvantaged children.

These bags were afterwards given to the children of the Love & Hope Day Care Center along with donations collected from the participants. At the center, the Day Care children surprised all with a hip hop dance performance and singing. Conference members shared a wonderful experience of face-painting, learning diverse dances, and playing different, energizing games with the children.
