Union Day, 1 December – Romania

Great Union Day, occurring on December 1, is the national holiday of Romania. It commemorates the assembly of the delegates of ethnic Romanians held in Alba Iulia, which declared the Union of Transylvania with Romania.

Since 1918, on this day we remember our glorious past, we thank to each and every hero that gave their life to gain us freedom and, with hope for our future, we celebrate the present.

Happy Union Day to all Romanians out there, no matter where you are, because we know that your heart is always here, with us!
