Klina is a town located in western Kosovo, with a population of around 40,000 people. It is situated in the plain of Dukagjini, surrounded by the Prokletije Mountains to the east and the Mokna Mountains to the west.

The town has a long history dating back to the Illyrian and Roman periods, and it has been an important center of commerce and culture throughout the centuries. During the Ottoman Empire, Klina served as a regional administrative center and played a key role in the development of the region.

Klina has been affected by the Kosovo War in the late 1990s, and it suffered significant damage during the conflict. However, the town has since been rebuilt, and today it is a thriving commercial and cultural center in western Kosovo.

Some notable landmarks in Klina include the Hadum Mosque, the Klina Castle, and the Zatriq Cemetery, which is a historic graveyard with unique Ottoman-era tombstones. The town is also known for its traditional handicrafts, including rug weaving, embroidery, and woodcarving.

Klina is located about 50 kilometers west of Kosovo’s capital city, Pristina, and it is easily accessible by road or by public transportation.

Klina youth chapter visited Klina site and collected photos to promote the Landscape and biodiversity of Klina city.
