Our volunteering does make a difference
At PTPI, we understand that everyone leads busy lives and that volunteering can seem like an unproductive use of your precious time. However, our experience has shown us that the benefits of volunteering are enormous for both the individual and the community at large.
People choose to volunteer for various reasons, including personal development, supporting a friend or family member, responding to a local community need, or simply to build stronger local communities. The most fulfilling volunteering experiences come from a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
It is important to identify where support is needed and how much time an individual can realistically offer. For example, supporting young people through weekly activities requires a coordinated effort. By spreading the workload, we can manage a strong community program that engages and empowers young people. Some activities may only happen once a year, such as a BBQ or special camp, while others occur monthly or weekly, such as games evenings or excursions.
We encourage you to reach out to your local youth group or scouting community to see how even a small amount of your time can add tremendous value. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in our communities and create a brighter future for all.
