Interlaken, Switzerland

Interlaken (German pronunciation: [ˈɪntərlakŋ̍]; lit.: between lakes) is a Swiss town and municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern. It is an important and well-known tourist destination in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps, and the main transport gateway to the mountains and lakes of that region.

Welcome to PTPI Chapter Interlaken, Switzerland! We’re proud to continue our annual all-Swiss meeting late summer/early fall each year, where we gather to connect and share our love for Switzerland. Throughout the year, our members come together to take walks in nature, ride bikes, visit sights and enjoy typical Swiss meals during cultural evenings.

In 2024, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be regenerating the Homestay program for international university students. We believe that cultural exchange is an essential component of creating a more peaceful world, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to students from around the globe.
We’ll be sharing more information about the Homestay program on the PTPI Chapter Network website as soon as it’s available, so stay tuned! Thank you for being a part of PTPI Chapter Interlaken family and for your commitment to building bridges between cultures.
